Mobile photography platform/editing app VSCO is now has the option to process RAW images. This time VSCO again goes #iPhoneOnly with this cool new feature.
VSCO and a lot of other apps prefer to release their apps for iOS devices first. However, this new feature was made possible with the help of iOS 10. Apple added system-wide support for the third party programs and VSCO took the advantage. With this new feature now an iPhone user can shoot, import and edit in RAW. This feature is supported by iPhone 6s, 6s Plus, SE, 7 and 7 Plus. You can also import RAW images from your DSLR to an iPhone to edit them with VSCO.
RAW file format includes a lot of data which can be recovered through RAW editing softwares like Adobe Lightroom, Apple Photos, DxO Optics Pro, Corel AfterShot Pro and several other softwares which are available for computers (cross platform). However VSCO is the only mobile app that supports RAW editing. Well that’s not true though.
If you are not an iPhone user you can use Google Snapseed or Lightroom on an Android device to process RAW images.
