How far you can zoom in with the Nikon Coolpix P900?

A recent YouTube video shows that you can read the logo of an Airplane with the Nikon Coolpix P900. This is really amazing for a point and shoot camera and you can also find that the video is optically stabilized by its internal OIS.

The Nikon Coolpix P900 has a 83x optical zoom and 166x dynamic fine zoom (digital zoom) feature with a super telephoto 24-2000mm NIKKOR ED glass lens with OIS (optical image stabilization) or in Nikon term with VR (vibration reduction).

Nikon says “The zoom power of the Coolpix P900 is more than any Nikon Coolpix yet”. With 2000mm equivalent focal length one can fill the frame with the subjects which are barely visible to naked eye. The dynamic fine zoom simply doubles the focal length (i.e. 4000mm) equivalent. This camera costs around $600.
